Chapter 26. Buried Memories
She sighed with sadness and was about to turn back when she heard that strange voice talking to his father, so she faced the door again.
"Dr. Theodore Jansen?"
"Yes? May I know who our guest is?"
Izabella noticed that the eyes of a very tall, strangely dressed man with a rank logo on their chest like a soldier were looking at her, and his father turned to where she was standing.
"Your daughter?" The man asked.
"Yes, my only daughter," Dr. Theodore respectfully responded. "Anything I can do for you?"
"We would like to invite you to come with us."
"I'm sorry, gentleman, but some other time. I have an important meeting today."
Instead of answering, a bluish beam appeared on the forehead of the man her father was talking to. Izabella screamed as her father swayed like a lifeless vegetable. She ran closer when she noticed their two uninvited guests were looking at each other.
