Chapter 36

Anastasia

I’m in the living room watching TV when I hear the front door open and close. Theo must be back from work. I quickly switch off the TV and run to the front door to meet him.

“Hi, honey, welcome home,” I say, walking up to Theo.

“How was your day, my beautiful mate?” Theo says, walking up the stairs with me beside him.

“It was good. How long do you want to rest before we go?”

“Go where?” Theo asks as we walk into our bedroom.

“Don’t tell me you forgot,” I say, looking at Theo with disbelief. We’re supposed to go out on a date tonight. After our first date, Theo and I decided to go on more. Tonight’s date isn’t a serious one. We’re just going to the movies.

“I’m sorry, I forgot. I’ll rest for two hours, then we can go if you don’t mind.”

“I don’t mind.” We’re not going on a serious date because Theo had to work today. He works almost every day, so it’s hard to find time to spend with him.
