Chapter 15. Hatred and Disgust
They were slender beings and considered the weaker species. They were strong but not as powerful as a werewolf or an ayacque. Even the vampyres believed to be the watered-down versions of an Ayacque were more substantial than a Diamph.
Nevertheless, it was a safe space, though one can never really be safe, so they stayed focused. There were the ones that constantly stirred up things and caused trouble.
Aakifahlynn soon found herself in a familiar spot. A small cave by a stream that flows into a river.
She did not venture into the cave.
Raven sat on the bank, and Aakifahlynn came forward. Changing back into her human form, she looked at her surroundings.
Just trees and bushes for as far as the eye can see on both sides of the stream. She could hear the slight rustle of leaves from the animals in the forest.
She heard the creaks of branches' light movements, the birds tweeting and chirping, and even the croaking of frogs.
