At the heart of the meadow, beneath lanterns that glowed like captured stars, Emperor Demarion and Aakifahlynn stood side by side, sovereign and beloved. Yet tonight, it was she who stepped forward, her voice carrying across the gathered throng of Humans, Werewolves, Vampyres, Daimphs, and Ayacqueans alike.
