Aakifahlynn watched as it bounced against buildings, slithered across some, stopped and snarled, and fire came out of its mouth.
People were running and scampering out of sight as the creature screeched and hollered, furiously looking and sniffing. Then suddenly, it looked in her direction. Even though it was a quarter mile away, their eyes made four.
Aakifahlynn did not know how to describe the almost 1000-foot-long giant of a serpentine creature.
Goddess, what secrets are these people hiding in this empire? But before she could answer her question or develop theories, the creature took off, approaching her direction with renewed vigor.
