Chapter 13. I Miss You

She is looking at me closely, and I can see the longing in her eyes. It was full of feelings that seemed to be speaking on their own. She indeed misses her dad. Humans never fail to amuse me when showing their emotions to loved ones. How funny it must look to a beast without a heart.

“Is that really you?” Irish could not stop herself from crying.

I simply nodded and smiled at her. She does not know that I am Raphael Custodio and that I am just using her late father's features. Obviously, she will not know it is me. Irish has no idea what I am really like or what else I can do. She does not know that I am just having fun with her right now.

"Dad, I miss you. I am terribly sorry. I was not there when you needed me; I am sorry," she kept saying, hugging me again.

I almost pushed her away because this felt awful and like too much drama, but then I remembered that I had to act as her late father. This is my plan, and I have to do everything I can to keep h
