Chapter 9. The Prophecy

I can feel the tension in the palace as I peek into the main hall to see what is going on. The official announcement brought the elders and representatives from each kingdom together. Some of the other breeds are also there, such as the alpha wolves, shadow wolves, wolf-weers, beta wolves, shapeshifters, and some others. Even though I am only ten years old, I know what is happening is sacred.

My heart was pounding because someone might see me, and I would be in huge trouble if that happened. Yes, I am a prince, but that does not give me the right to sneak in and hear what they are talking about. It is against the rules, and if I mess up, I could put our kingdom in danger.

"Is that true? Our ancestors predicted something?"
