Chapter 11. Love, Loss, Redemption

My heart is beating so fast, and my breath has quickened as I move closer to Linda. Damn, she looks so good.
Her lips are slightly parted, and I can only imagine how soft they must feel.
It is like I am being drawn to her, and the way she is looking straight into my eyes ignites the heat in my blood even more.
I move closer and closer to her until I am inches away from kissing her. I can even feel her hot breath on my face, and I know she can feel mine. She is not making any attempt to stop me, and that turns me on even more.
It has been months since I have felt this way, since I lost my wife and child, I have not romantically or sexually pursued anyone. It was like my emotions got turned off with the remote control.
Just as I am about to allow my wild emotions to have full reign on me and kiss her, a very vivid image of my wife appears in my mind, and I flinch away instantly.
