Chapter 219. Elevator Rides

I was in the back of the car, heading back to the office. My lunch break was over and I still had a lot to do, even though I felt the urge to just find a way to get to my father and have a long talk with him about him, I had to resist it. 

I adjusted my weight in the leather seat and stared out the window at the passing building. The food at the restaurant had been really good and it had been expensive, but in my opinion, it was worth it. 

My aunt had left and she had told me that I should not let any of the things that she told me get to my head, but she was too late, it had already gotten to my head. She also told me that she received the money and was really grateful, that it meant a lot to you. 

She said that the only reason she didn’t talk about it when she arrived or during the meeting was because she felt a bit embarrassed, she felt like she should have been the one giving me money rather than the other way around.
