Linda's POV

I sniffled dryly and ran my hand through my hair. All the evidence was truly pointing to me, but I knew that I did not kill my ex. 

“Yes, Mitch and I had an argument but that does not mean that I had him killed.”

“Exactly…she and I had an argument too, I’m not dead, am I?” Chris chirped in, making his point. 

Zane sighed. “I know, I know. But the thing here is that we have enough evidence to have you locked up. That’s just the truth.” He was talking to me. “And if not for your husband here, you would have been behind bars, dear.” He chuckled to himself faintly. 

“Evidence or not, I didn't do it.” 

“Evidence or not?” Zane scoffed the words out. “Okay, you know what? Let’s get this thing over with.” He glanced at his partner, gesturing for her to stand up as he did. “We are going to ask you one last time, did you or did you not kill your ex?”
