Chapter 16
Kaden
"Your office is as nice as always." I smiled at the primly dressed tall figure on the seat opposite mine.
"Spick and span. Thanks Alpha." He bowed. And added, "I presume you seek answers?"
He said it in a questioning manner, but I knew he had concluded already. And he was right.
"Yes." I nodded.
"Would you like a cup of coffee?" He asked, placing a large book, with the title, 'Mating Bond,' on the cover. I almost smiled, as I looked around the white painted, large office, with books on shelves all over.
It had been a while since I visited.
"I wouldn't stay long." I declined his offer, adjusting my position on the large chair.
"You never can tell," A playful look crossed his face. I smiled. Gaius had been my father's friend, before his death. Buddies rather. And so, I looked up to him as the uncle I never had.
He was old, but looked twenty. Wolf genes.
