"When did they propose?" I asked Brandon calmly. He smiled, and pushed his laptop over to me. One glance at it, and I groaned.

Displayed on the screen was the date and time the Sovereigns agreed to a meeting. It was the day after tomorrow.

"I can't possibly leave Amber," I shut my eyes close, and leaned back on the sofa. We were in my room. At the thought of Amber, I heaved a sigh.

It had been days since I spoke to her. It was almost as if she was inadvertently avoiding me. The effect of which was I couldn't sleep at all. Not even a wink.

"Did you speak to her?" Brandon asked. 

"No," I turned away. How the hell was I supposed to talk to her, when she was avoiding me?

"We can't miss this meeting. You know how hard it was to get pass Antonio." Brandon said in a crisp manner.
