Vera led me along the corridor, which was all so familiar to me. It was the place I had grown up afterall. She had a triumphant smirk on her face, and at intervals, she turned and made a harsh comment.

I swallowed my anger, and followed her to wherever it was she was taking me. I had decided to stay low, steering clear of the Redwood pack, but since they decided to abduct me, and keep me apart from my mate, the game had to start.

"Here we are," Vera stopped at the front of the door that led to the servants quarters. 

"What are we doing here? Give me my servant's uniform already." I rolled my eyes. If any of them thought I'd be scared by their hostility, then they better check their heads.

"You keep forgetting your place. You aren't even a proper werewolf, and you are weak, so what right do you have to speak to me in that manner?" 

"Manner?" I moved closer to her, damning all consequences. I stopped right at her fro
