Chapter 57. Finding Forgiveness

Emily’s Pov

I guide Alex through our wolf pack's office. Amy steps away from us to call my father. While Alex and I are alone, we continue our conversation about Benson.

"He misses you, you know?" Alex remarks, and I cross my arms in front of my body. Benson's betrayal still stings, memories of my past life are etched into my heart so that I can believe in Alex.

"That doesn't change what he did," I retort coldly. Alex sighs in disappointment, which only irritates me. Of course, he would defend Benson; they've been old friends for years. Just like Amy defended me, even though she had a crush on Alex. That's what friends do, after all, they defend you when you can't do it yourself.

"Everyone deserves a chance to be forgiven. Even for mistakes they didn't make," Alex says. I open my mouth to argue, but Amy arrives with our parents, Alpha David and Beta Nelson.
