Sophia's POV
I blinked a few times, trying to make sense of something. My head was spinning, and at the same time, I could hear voices in the background, agitated, but I couldn’t understand what was being said. My body ached, especially my chest, there was a weight that felt different, something that made me feel sick. My breathing became labored, and I let out a low groan. I tried to bring my hand to my chest to see if I could remove that weight.
A part of me knew that this was an irrational action, that this weight wasn’t something physical that I could grasp, but still... I simply didn’t know if I could continue carrying such a thing. I’m not someone who cries, but I could feel tears starting to run down the corners of my eyes because I had no control over my actions. It was so hard to move, to breathe, and I couldn’t even open my eyes.
