Cassandra froze, heart pounding, not sure how to react.

After a moment, she finally mumbled, “Thanks.”

Emma stood to the side, looking absolutely exhausted. This girl, seriously—how could anyone be this slow? No matter how Damien tried, it just didn’t land.

She almost felt sorry for Damien—poor guy liked a brick wall.

Later, when the vendor got the balloons set up again, it was Elijah’s turn. He’d served in the military, a real sharpshooter, but even he missed one shot and ended up with the second biggest plushie.

After the game ended, Damien noticed Cassandra struggling to see past the huge plush toy she was holding. Without a word, he took it from her and passed it straight to Max behind him.

So just like that, in the middle of the crowded night market, people caught sight of a tall, sharp-dressed man, all serious in a suit and tie, carrying a big, fluffy, cartoonish plushie.

The contrast? Low-key hilarious.
