Chapter 20

Dylan visibly flinched at Aiden’s sudden outburst.

“No one wants a bastard like you sobbing around!” he snapped after a brief pause, then lunged straight at Aiden, who didn’t see it coming and was slammed to the ground.

Dylan straddled him, fists flying with reckless force as he cursed viciously. “Serves you right, you motherless freak! Talk back again, I dare you!”

For some reason—probably taught—he avoided hitting Aiden’s face, but each punch landed hard, making Aiden wince in pain. Still, the boy gritted his teeth and met Dylan’s glare head-on.

“Stop it right now!”

Lilah’s voice rang out, sharper than ever.

She had been filming Dylan’s threats on her phone, but seeing Aiden’s tear-streaked, stubborn little face shattered her last shred of tolerance. Fury coursed through her like wildfire.

Dylan’s fist froze mid-air as he looked up, stunned.

The smug smirk on the maid’s face vanished in a blink, replaced by stark panic.
