The driver pulled up at the entrance, but Lilah sat there for a solid minute before finally getting out.

This hospital wasn’t just any place—it belonged to the Hart family.

And her brother, Damien, was now the director.

Inside... there were plenty of Hart relatives around.

If she showed up, word would definitely get back to the family.

But honestly? She didn’t care anymore.

She’d already cut all ties with them years ago, blocked every single one of their numbers. No one from the Hart family had tried to contact her in four years.

She’d shattered any goodwill that was left.

A strange ache crept up her nose, and Lilah sniffed sharply before walking into the hospital.

Not even a moment later, a sleek black sedan pulled up to the same entrance.

Verity looked up at the big letters on the building: “Oakridge Hospital.” Her eyes narrowed slightly.
