Chapter 79

Dinner was a bit later than usual tonight.

While eating, Lilah suddenly remembered the conversation she’d had with Gabriel earlier. She turned to him and asked, “Hey, since you know Ethan, do you have any idea what he really thinks of Clara?”

Gabriel didn’t even look up. He took a sip of water, face blank. “Who told you I knew Ethan that well? Just ‘cause we’re friends doesn’t mean we’re close.”

Lilah paused. “...Right.”

What do you even say to that?

“But if he wants info on someone, it’s a walk in the park for him,” Gabriel added casually, setting down his glass before turning to Aiden. “Your piano audition’s tomorrow. Ready for it?”

“Totally ready, Daddy!” Aiden replied confidently, his voice full of excitement.

Gabriel gave a small nod, saying nothing else.

Lilah, on the other hand, was still stuck on what Gabriel had just said.

A walk in the park, huh?

So, Ethan probably already figured out who Clara really is.
