Xerina’s POV
It was sunny today, the kind that was warm but not so harsh. A glorious day, I’d call it. The sky was a clear blue, and the city was bustling, just like I preferred. And for once, I was in control of my emotions, though it took a good whole week. Some days, I’d cry myself to sleep, and on some, I’d simply lay on the bed and stare at the ceiling. Some included me overthinking the whole day, while others went in a blur.
I glanced up absently, but the brightness of the morning made me groan softly and turn away. It wasn’t quite the glorious day I had hoped for; it was too bright, something I wasn’t accustomed to. My head no longer ached, and my limbs were free of pain. I was sane, back to my normal self. Yet, thoughts of him persisted.
