Chapter 31. Blood on Your Hands
Xerina’s POV
I panted as I opened the door to find Chrissy pacing around the room. Her head snapped at me as she spotted me and jogged towards me. “I don’t know why he’s—”
“Where’s he?”
She took a shuddering breath. “In your room.”
No. No, no, no, no, no.
I had never run like this in my whole life as I threw myself at the door and burst into the room.
My breath came in ragged gasps, my chest tightening as I scanned the room. The curtains were draped just like I had left them, but what startled me was the intoxicating scent that seemed to infiltrate my room. My cave. Where there was no space for him. And he was there.
My eyes didn’t take long to spot him, and my insides stilled, burned, and turned to ashes.
There he was, standing with his back towards me, but I knew he knew I was there. He was looking down, and I realized he was reading something. I stepped forward to get a glimpse of a book Dylan gave me.
“Rasmus…” I whisp
