Vivian’s POV

“What are you going to do with me, Sarah?”

Sarah remained silent, guiding us through the forest. We’d been walking for well over an hour, it felt like, and she hadn’t said a word. “Sarah. You could at least say something.”

“Could you at least call me Sam in front of the boys?”

She finally spoke. And it was to ask me to call her by her fake name in front of her boys. Ha. “As if.”

She shot me a look. “It’d be better for Chris if you did.”
