Chapter 8

Vivian’s POV

Chris played that off well. He knew. I knew. But he didn’t know I knew. The question was if I wanted to let on that I knew. But what would that benefit? He seemed to want me. Physically. But that’s all it was. Once we were done messing with Zeke, we were done and would go our separate ways again.

Chris was not my friend. He was still my enemy. But then why did I lean into his thrusts?

I shook my head. I was just getting into the moment. I’d never been desired before and it went to my head. I’d been ignored practically my entire life. With everything going on, obviously it did some damage upstairs. I didn’t need to think too much into it.

Just then, Chris walked out. He wore his usual tank top and jeans but it was like I was seeing him for the first time. How his arms flexed when he moved. How snuggly his jeans fit his thighs. His short brown hair having that just out of bed look perfectly arranged. He was a walking Adonis. “Are you okay?”<
