Special Chapter: Kayden's POV

As I bolted away quickly, I didn't have the chance to speak to Evelyn or even look back because the Vampires were seriously hot on my trail.

I ran for all I was worth but they wouldn't stop chasing, I instantly remembered Voithós's advice and tried to look for a place to hide but I found none.

This is seriously one of the times that I really appreciate Neko, my wolf and desperately wish that I could transform so I would be able to easily escape these blood sucking bastards.

I put in more effort and nearly grew out of breath but despite the extra effort, I was too slow for them. They were right behind me and could have easily caught me if they reached out but surprisingly, they didn't and it left me wondering if they were just chasing me around for fun.

It began to seem as if I was their little pastime and they were just letting me run around until I was tired so they'd catch me and taunt me, just like a little mouse.
