Chapter 39. Bad Omen

Daisy’s POV

I stood facing Delilah, our voices raised in a heated argument. The air was electric with tension when suddenly, the doors burst open and a group of men stormed in.

They lunged at Delilah, grabbing her arms and legs, and began dragging her away. My heart racing, I ran after them, determined to save her.

“Let her go!” I yelled, my feet pounding the ground. Just as I was about to reach her, everything went black.

My eyes snapped open, sweating profusely and I found myself back in my room, I clutched to my head and screamed, my scream echoed through the room.

The door to my room burst open with a loud crash as if someone had slammed into it with considerable force. The sound of the heavy breathing and labored footsteps of whoever had just entered filled the air.
