Chapter 5. A Mysterious Name For a Mysterious Man

Daisy’s POV

“Who are you?” I flinched in fear as I suddenly came back to my senses.

“Calm down, I have no intentions of hurting you, I only want to tend to your wounds,” He assured.

“My wounds?” I said looking a bit confused as I scanned every part of my body with my eyes and came to the realization that I had sustained injuries from my fall.

“How did I end up here?” I asked curiously.

“I happened to be in the woods last night, I saw you lying unconscious,” he responded.

With his gaze fixated on mine, he moved closer and, reached for my hand “Don’t touch me!” I trembled in fear.

“You have to trust me, I would not harm you, I have to get your wounds treated before they get infected,” He replied softly.

“What happened to the beast that attacked me? How did you manage to scare it away or did you kill it?” I questioned.

“You have to relax and get treated first, you need not worry about the beast,” He stated plainly.
