Chapter 4. Who Was This Person?

Daisy’s POV

I soaked myself in the burning bath Amaya had prepared, thinking about how my life had changed, I thought I could have it all, the perfect family with Alaric and my sister happily by my side but I guess it was a just dream that would never come through.

The only thing that makes sense in my life right now is this soothing bath.

After spending what felt like an eternity in the bathtub, I reached for the towel as I stood and wrapped it around my chest, I took one quick look at myself in the mirror before heading to the bedroom.

“You look dazzling Daisy Fairchild,” I heard a familiar voice say as soon as I step foot into the bedroom. What is Alaric doing? Why is he here?

“What do you want from me Alaric,” I whispered with a trembling voice, I folded my hands around my chest in a protective manner.
