We all took cover as bullets began to rain everywhere. Wooden bullets, one of the werewolves’ weaknesses. Although they wouldn’t kill us, they could weaken us beyond measure. The wolf hunters weren’t trying to kill us, they wanted to capture us. If they wanted us dead, wolfsbane would have been the better option.

“I should have known the humans would be involved in this too,” Zachary hissed.

Not only the pack hunters and rogue wolves, but now the wolf hunters as well? With humans involved, this was going to be worse than we had imagined.

One of them walked toward us and was about to shoot when Zachary swiftly stood up and snapped his hand. The man let out a loud cry and fell to the floor.

The others were alerted and immediately began shooting at us without pause.

“There are many of them,” Felix said, joining Zachary to fight them off.
