Chapter 97. What Is Love?

Scarlett grinned and kept looking at her dress, still unable to believe she would one day rule the supernatural. Two months ago, she would have said no to the question of whether the supernatural existed, but today, she is attending a party where the supernatural would be in abundance.

"Scarlett, don't be so happy. Raven will come out tonight, so get ready to endure the suffering."

Cornelia chewed on her chips while crossing her legs over one another. It continued to make loud noises, and Scarlett occasionally gave her a look of annoyance. "I think you should just tell her to hold up until the night is over."

"I don't think that is how it works, Cornel." Avery said.

As she moved in their direction, Scarlett sighed. She sat down and took their hands in hers. "Whatever happens today, I am glad that I have you guys as my friends. You are a real supporter."

"My eyes are watering, but I don't want to cry." Avery gave Cornelia a tight hug after she spoke.
