Chapter 91. I Will Never Bow
Ayana’s POV
A long moment passes with both Adam and I strangling each other with our dreadful glares. Actually, it is me who is trying to kill him with my eyes because he is doing all he can to hold his cool in place.
I don’t know how he manages to do this—acting all cool and composed, unwithered even when he is supposed to be blowing up from my insults. None of my long, deadly glares have managed to scare him off or even make him shift in his seat. He is quite a hard nut!
“So, what do you want to eat?” I finally break the silence after realizing I will not win this gaze-fight with him. My voice is heavy with fury and agitation.
I don’t really get it. Of all the people I had to encounter in my line of work on my very first day here, he had to be among them. I never would have ever envisioned myself serving this jerk. I really hate his luck and guts. They suck so much.
