Chapter 98. So Damn Late
Ayana’s POV
I am pacing back and forth in this small office with my purse clenched into my hand. Rage is blocking my throat and more surging in me like a tempest. It has been a couple of minutes since Mrs. Julio left this cafe, leaving me alone with this gross man.
After she left, I stood there, in front of that man, feeling how the fear and anger mounted in me. I wanted to lash out on him and ask him to leave, but I knew that the amount of anger I was feeling, and the mind-blowing cool that he was exuding was such a bad combo.
I am so exhausted with these fights with him. And since he didn’t seem like he was contemplating saying a damn thing, I left him and came here to grab my purse, hoping he was just going to down the remaining cold drops of his cappuccino and honor his promise to Mrs. Julio which I do not trust one bit. But I was damn wrong to delude myself that the man would at least care about time.
