Nina’s POV

I couldn’t help but keep my smile soft yet pointed. The reactions around the room varied — Mark, Jasper, and Alexa all wore different shades of surprise on their faces, while Mrs. Santiago continued her gift-giving exchange with Sarah, completely oblivious to the silent tension brewing around us.
