Raymond’s POV

This strange ailment has been my source of headache for the past two days. I might have reacted as if I was not worried after the confrontation with the elders, but it, more or less, filled me with an even more urgency to do something.

I could not understand why, but the warriors sent to invite those poison master duo had not arrived after so many hours. There was no message from them either, making me feel utterly anxious and helpless.

A feeling I had never really experienced in depth.

To make matters worse, my people had already started protesting. It’s funny how people suddenly change in the face of adversity.

They seem to have forgotten all the things I’ve done for them in the past decades in just a span of two days. It was ironic, but I could not even force myself to laugh.
