Madison’s POV
Raymond released a weary sigh, his brows creasing in contemplation, and I could understand where his hesitation came from.
Arthur spoke up again, “You might have experience in making potions, but this is reality, and it is a matter of life and death. What if this…” He pointed at the bottle in Raymond’s hold with disdain, “This thing, what if it has detrimental effects on the people? What will you do then? Will we not be held accountable for your supposed remedies?”
I bit my lips lightly and countered in a calm tone, “Then, I will take all the responsibility.”
Arthur fell silent instantly, his lips pressed as if compressing something, but I no longer gave him any attention.
I shifted my gaze to meet with Raymond’s doubtful ones, and said pleadingly, “J…Just trust me this once. Everything I have done is just for the people to get better, do you doubt my intentions?”
