Chapter 49. Displeasure

Raymond’s POV

“Congratulations, Alpha Raymond.” A tall, muscular alpha greeted me, a wide grin plastered on his rough face.

He was one of the few alphas whom I could tolerate, Alpha Eric.

“Thank you, thank you,” I responded with a hearty laugh, feeling the upliftment of my spirit.

Standing beside Alpha Eric was a young, beautiful maiden, who was almost as tall as Alpha Eric, a sight I had always found amusing.

“I have never seen Alpha Raymond smile so widely.” She teased while reaching out to interlock Alpha Eric’s arm with hers.

I chuckled at her statement, “Why shouldn’t I? You shall be surprised when you see my mate later.” I did not miss the chance to show off.

Alpha Eric rolled his eyes, “I can’t believe this.” He muttered, before taking his mate to him towards a seat specially reserved for them.
