[Flashback]

“Come on, you have to go. You can’t let me go alone, can you?” One of Daniel’s closest friends, who was killed in the fight to protect the honor of their home, had pleaded with him long before he had even met his wife.

“Look, dude, I’m afraid that I’m perfectly capable of letting you go now. Or maybe you can just stay here and hang with me. That mating ceremony is just an excuse for a bunch of creepy, horny teenagers and younger adults to meet up and nothing else,” Rivers argued. That time was a far cry from that description, but later on, he would mature and grow up. Until then, he was slightly more perverted than his friend.

Daniel knew that everybody was expecting him to be at the mating ceremony to find the next Luna as soon as possible. Especially in his position as the Alpha’s son, even when he was a teenager, people were more than eager to remind him that he was supposed to find a mate and produce the next heir as soon as possible, as if they cou
