Chapter 18. Deborah’s Text
Sushmita’s POV
I didn’t reply back to Rodney’s messages, nor call back because he might be angry with me.
We get home by 9:30 p.m. I ordered them to just leave the curtains and other designs or equipment to the living room for me to work it out the next day.
I was about to go upstairs when my phone rang. It was Rodney so I hit the green button and talked to him.
“Hi honey, good evening” I said in the other line.
“Are you alright?” He asked.
“Yeah, I’m good, we just got home from the mall,” I said.
“Oh yeah? What did you buy?”
“It’s a secret, a necessary joke,” O said as I smiled
“Hm, alright I’ll find out when I get home, did you eat dinner?”
“Nope but Aunt Cecilia is cooking something delicious in the kitchen, I’ll just check it out. It smells nice, how about you? Did you eat?” I said.
“Alright, I’ve already eaten breakfast,” He said. I almost forgot that it’s morning in Chicago and it’s evening here in the Philippin
