My father rose from his throne, a cruel smile playing on his lips. He descended the steps, his eyes fixed keenly on me. 

"Well done, my daughter,” his voice was a twisted blend of pride and menace. "You have proven yourself worthy to rule alongside me as luna.”

But his words barely registered. The darkness within me, long suppressed, had broken free. I felt it pulsing through my veins, a primal force demanding more. 

The taste of blood, the thrill of the kill, it was intoxicating. I wanted to feel it for much longer. I had crossed a line, and there was no going back now. I knew it deep down and it was okay. Sincerely, I was okay.
