“Issa!” Nica exclaimed, startling me. “Sorry,” she apologized with a light smile seeing that I was startled. 

Her eyes searched mine keenly. “You seem to have figured who it is Carlos is seeing… Tell me, who is it?” 

How had she even known that I had figured it out? Nica could be so observant when it came to matters like this.

“Well,” I started, dragging my words in a bid to test her patience. She glared at me and I chuckled. “I am not even sure, it's just a guess. There is this guardian wolf he was with at the grand ball the other day.”
