“I am going to miss you. We all are,” Freya mumbled as she leaned her head on my shoulder. We were at the local pack, Freya, Nica, Carlos and I.

I had just informed them that I was leaving with my father and his pack to settle a conflict we had with another pack. I had not exactly gone into all the details but I had explained as much of it as I could. 

“Would it be too dangerous?” Carlos asked, his gaze on me concerned. “Well, in the article published by the press about your kind, it mentioned inter-conflicts between packs and pack rivalry and how bloody it could get.”

I sighed softly as my three friends fixed concerned gazes on me. “It would be dangerous,” I admitted. “But it is necessary. The pack we have to attack, they are threatening all the packs in the werewolf community and they just have to be stopped. No one else would stop them so we have to.”
