I woke up with a start, my heart pounding violently in my chest. 

“Damn these stupid nightmares!” I groaned, rolling out of my bed. It had never stopped playing in my head, everything I had done in my bloodlust rampage, just a few days ago. 

I had lost control and killed so many. I had attacked weak packs, slaughtering them without mercy. I had become a monster…and I still was. 

My room was dark, shadows danced along the walls as I reached for the antique lamp on my bedside table to put it on.
