Issahil's POV

I was standing amidst the chaos of the battlefield, my breath coming in ragged gasps as I clashed and grappled with my cousin Lillian. 

The night had been long and brutal, the air thick with the scent of blood and the sounds of clashing steel and pained howls. 

We were at a disadvantage and from a distance I could see Lillian's father, my uncle Duncan hovering over my father, his claws sinking into his chest.

All around, I could see our people falling by the hands of the warriors of moonville pack. Hudson was gravely injured and on the floor. Beta Tom, Beta Hayden and Alpha Matthias seemed to be the only people still standing but even the three of them were at a disadvantage as they were each surrounded by great numbers of moonville warriors from every side.
