Chapter 161. Defeat?

Alpha William's POV

I had Duncan pinned on the floor, my claws sinking into his heart region. His eyes were widened in shock and pain, but he did not yield. 

With a howl, he surged upward, his strength throwing me off balance. We tumbled apart, both of us rising to our feet, bloodied and bruised.

With a snarl, I charged at him again, knowing I couldn't give him any time to recover. My claws were extended and ready to strike but he met my attack with a swift counter, his strength matching my own. 

We grappled and my claws dug into the upper part of his shoulder, tearing through flesh and muscle. He howled in pain, his own claws lashing out and raking across my side. The pain was sharp, coursing through me but I didn't flinch or slow down on my attacks on him.

The battle raged around us, my pack members and that of cloudfall pack our allies were locked in combat with the warriors of moonville pack. 

The air was thick
