Chapter 160. Brave Idiot

Alpha Duncan's POV

I was lying in bed, the heavy velvet drapes barely parting to allow the moonlight to filter into the room. 

Several nude women were sprawled around me, their breaths slow and even, lost in a blissful sleep. But I was wide awake, my mind racing with thoughts that refused to let me rest. My daughter, Lillian, occupied my mind. 

Staring at the ceiling, I recalled the look in her eyes when she had returned from her bloodlust rampage. The darkness I had seen playing in those eyes of hers had scared me. 

It was the darkness I had nurtured in her, the same darkness that lived in me. Yet, unlike me, she didn’t seem to have control over it. It was consuming her. At this rate, she could go rogue, I knew…that is if she wasn't already.
