Chapter 171. Reconciliation

Issahil's POV

“You should take it easy, Alpha,” I said to Alpha Elihas, my hand patting his back as I cleaned him up with a towel.

He was wheezing. I helped him lean back on the backrest of the bed so he was sitting more comfortably. 

“Issa… You said you have forgiven me, my child…” Alpha Elihas voice was weak and it trembled and croaked.

I hummed, placing a gentle hand on his forehead, brushing away the damp strands of hair plastered to his skin. 

“Alpha, I have already forgiven you,” I assured him. “You don't need to worry about me.”

“But…” his voice trailed off as he broke into a coughing fit again. I moved my hand over his back soothingly for a while, and then reached for the half-empty cup of water I had put away on the side table, bringing it to his lips so he could drink some.

“Issa, you said you have forgiven me but you still call me Alpha, not grandfather…”
