Chapter 179. His Fear

Alpha Matthias's POV

As I dragged my feet through the forest, the moonlight barely illuminating my path ahead, my heart was heavy with worry, my thoughts a chaotic mess. 

I was troubled…scared. With the revelation from Alpha Logan, I couldn't help but worry that Issahil's heart was wavering…that I was losing her.

It was clear that she was conflicted by his confession about the dark magic. It was what had influenced his decisions, which had hurt her and made her flee from him. 

Personally, I even felt sorry for Alpha Logan. He had been manipulated to hurt Issahil. It was clear how much he loved her. I was a man and I could feel it. I couldn't say he loved her as much I did though. But then, Issahil had loved him…maybe she still did even.

What if she chose to return to Alpha Logan? He was her first love, after all and if he hadn't been under the influence of the dark magic, he couldn't have hurt her, she wouldn't have left him.
