Chapter 49. The Funeral Ceremony
Issahil's POV
It was almost like the dense forest was alive, with the whispers of the wind rustling through the trees of the deep forest, and with the light from the crescent moon peeking out the sky, cast upon it.
We were all gatheted, the entire pack, to send off Lucas Eliason, the pack member we had lost.
All of us were cladded in a uniform ceremonial garb and were standing in straight lines, our faces a reflection of the sorrow we shared.
I stood at the front, next to my father, the Alpha, whose usually unyielding face, bore grief etched lines.
I didn’t exactly know the man that had died much but I didn’t like that he had died and that alone made my heart feel so heavy. I could only imagine how my father was feeling. He had known the man and led him.
