Chapter 48. Heavy Hearts

“The moon goddess reveals it to them.”
Really? I passed my father a doubtful look. “But in this case, we were the ones who found him and told him about what was happening.”
“I think the moon goddess led us to him then,” Hudson said.
I guess he was right. If he hadn’t gotten the vision, we wouldn’t have known for sure that our fathers were in trouble or gone through such great lengths to find and save them. So, in a way, it was true that the moon goddess led us to the guardian.
It wasn’t fair though. Reminisces of all I had gone through in the hands of the rogue hunters, flooded my mind.
Back then, I hadn’t even known about the existence of guardians. It was why I resented them now that I knew about their existence.
Those humans, the rogue hunters, had been hurting our kind and they weren’t being stopped by the so called guardians even though it was their duty to prevent such from happening.&nb
