Angry tears filled my eyes as I started the engine of my car and drove out of the company. I needed to do something about that Hailey bitch! I could not lose my marriage. Jared gave me the stability, love, care and affection I needed. Jerome — yes, I did love him — but there was nothing he could offer me except great sex. He was trouble. A trouble I could not resist.

My phone rang. I checked my caller ID. With a frown and blurry vision, I tapped the red button. Speak of the devil and he would call. I’d been avoiding Jerome’s calls for some time. Knowing him, it was only a matter of time before he'd find me, but that was not my concern right now. I needed to fix my home. Then Jerome and I could continue from where we left off, but only more careful this time.
