“Wait, wait. This is not the road to my house.” Celine's croaky voice interjected Jared's and my little discussion.

“I'm sorry but there is an emergency. We won't be able to drop you off. We'll go to my place. Don't worry, I'll drive you home later.” I promised her.

“But I need to have a bath and change my clothes. I've been wearing these for the past few days.” Her tone had gone even lower.

I turned around to give her an observing once-over. “You and me should be about same height and weight. You'll fit into my clothes comfortably.”

“Okay.” And she went quiet after that.

My gaze shifted to my sleeping son. He was still napping peacefully.

“But how did this happen? How could she have gone missing?” Jared continued from where we left off.
